Achieving considerable showing success in the 1980s and 1990s most notably Best of Breed at Crufts in 1988 with the black dog Trewinnard Any Time, the kennel has produced many consistent winners and has exported dogs to countries all over the world.
I was a Kennel Club Assured Breeder following all the guidelines for the scheme, until the scheme closed in Dec 2024. However, I continue with these principles.
Due to work and family commitments the kennel had a quieter period in the 2000s but was revived in 2010 along the same traditional lines having bought in a bitch from the Trendlewood kennel who’s pedigree can be traced back to the Trewinnard bloodlines.
The focus of the kennel remains unchanged. The aim is to produce a typical Labrador with good temperament, health and breed type being of the utmost importance.
I am mindful that the majority of puppies I breed go to family homes and the focus is on breeding happy, healthy and good-natured dogs who fit well into both a show and family environment.
